U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 8(a) Business Development Program
To help provide a level playing field for small businesses owned by socially and economically disadvantaged people or entities, the government limits competition for certain contracts to businesses that participate in the 8(a) Business Development program.
GSA MAS
General Services Administration (GSA) Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) The MAS program provides eligible ordering activities with a simplified process for obtaining supplies and services. Schedule contracts are multiple award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts, which are awarded to responsible companies that offer commercial supplies or services at fair and reasonable prices. Products and services are ordered directly from Schedule contractors.
GSA MAS 8(a) Pool
The GSA MAS 8(a) Pool initiative aims to increase federal contracting opportunities for small-disadvantaged businesses (SDBs) who are part of SBA’s 8(a) Business Development Program (8(a) Program) for government contracts in GSA’s MAS Program. This initiative provides a pool of 8(a) firms to make it easier for procurement officials to locate and contract with small, disadvantaged businesses across industries. CRM America has been accepted into the newly established 8(a) MAS Pool and received a designation that indicates to agency buyers that the business is eligible for 8(a) sole source awards and competitive set-asides.
JV 8(a) STARSIII
The 8(a) STARS III program is a government-wide acquisition contract (GWAC) designed to provide federal agencies with innovative IT services and solutions. It focuses on emerging technologies from a diverse pool of 8(a) small disadvantaged businesses, streamlining procurement and supporting socio-economic goals. Organizations participating in this GWAC are vetted to ensure that businesses meet specific criteria, including technical capabilities, past performance, and financial stability, to provide reliable IT services and solutions to federal agencies.
